What is Pilates?
The Pilates Method (Pi-lah-tees) is a system of exercises designed to improve strength and flexibility without building bulk. It brings the body back into alignment, making it longer, leaner and more toned.
A thinking exercise, Pilates consists of controlled movements; targeting the primary postural muscles, specifically the Transversus Abdominus. The Pilates Method is used internationally by individuals at all levels of fitness. It can be customised for rehab patients, pregnant women to prepare for birth and recover body shape and athletes to help improve their performance in sports.

Studio Classes
These particular classes take advantage of our extensive array of hand-crafted Pilates equipment and are available in either Solo (1:1), Duo (2:1), or Group (max. 4:1) formats.
All students are required to attend an initial private assessment so an effective
progression of exercises can be designed. This will include an assessment of current posture and movement patterns, as well as any previous or recurring injuries. Students new to the Pilates Method will require a further Solo class to consolidate Pilates vocabulary and technique.
Introductory Package: Recommended for first time students to the Pilates Method. Our Introductory Package is includes:
• 1x Private Assessment;
• 1x Solo class;
• 3x Group classes.
The more experienced Pilates students are
required to attend a private assessment and
then progress directly to their chosen class
format.
Duration of all Studio classes: 75 mins.
